Northshore’s Finest Grapes & Grain
6 Annual Grapes & Grain will present class of Northshore’s Finest July 29th

Mandeville, LA — The Louisiana Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announces the 7th annual class of Northshore’s Finest paired with a premiere food, wine and beer tasting event, Grapes & Grain. Northshore’s Finest Grapes & Grain will be held on Friday,  July 29,  2016 at The Castine Center (63350 Pelican Dr., Mandeville, LA 70448).

Funds raised by Grapes & Grain have helped spur dramatic progress in the lives of those who have cystic fibrosis. Fifty years ago, most children with CF did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, people with CF are living into their 30s, 40s and beyond.

The anticipated 400 plus guests will sample many different fine wines and craft beers from around the world as well as food from some of our favorite local restaurants including Aunt Sally’s Pralines, Cate Street Station, Cupcake Concepts, Impastato Cellars, K Gee’s Restaurant, La Carreta, Live Fit Smoothies, Longhorn Steakhouse, Opal Basil on the Trace, Sweet Daddy’s BBQ and Voodoo BBQ. Event Sponsors include Hornbeck Offshore, Southern Glazers, Champagne Beverage, Acquistapace’s Covington Supermarket, American Airlines, Inside Northside, Home Bank and Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency. Guests will receive a commemorative tasting glass, enjoy an honoree recognition program, taste delicious nibbles, bid on fabulous auction items and dance the night away to live music by The Groovy 7.

“While we have made great progress in treatments for cystic fibrosis, we won’t stop until we have a cure for all those living with CF” said executive Director Ashley Mills. “We are grateful for every sponsor, volunteer and donor who supports Grapes & Grain and the mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.”

Cystic Fibrosis affects about 30,000 adults and children in the United States and 70,000 people worldwide. It causes debilitating lung infections that lead to premature death. More than 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of a defective CF gene.

Sponsorship opportunities and tickets are still available and anyone interested should contact Cassie Schwartzmann at 504.455.5194 or  Tickets are available for purchase online - VIP Tickets are $100 and General Admission is $50. The CF Foundation is an accredited charity of the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance.
